Jennifer Angus exploits the beautiful colours and patterns of insects to create mesmerizing wall collages which are made up from insects found in exotic locations. However unlike many other insect artists she keeps her bugs in place with a well hid pin straight through the middle so she can re-use them in other pieces of her art. By using insects natural patternsand creating repetition her work almost comes across an optical illusion. Not only does she cleverly use the insects colours but also their forms because at first I thought it was just a normal wall pattern and I needed a second glance to realise they were interesting and exotic insects.
