I decided to create an A3 reproduction of Samantha Torres piece Jorogumo using a combination of pencil, charcoal and chalk the body of the spider I did in pencil with some of the darker shading done using charcoal
I then created the background by smudging in charcoal starting darker at the bottom then lighter at the top finally I created the web effect using chalk. One thing I noticed straight away was the angle of the body in my interpretation is off and I could've worked in darker on the body to really show off some of the detail on the body more. I think working bigger made it harder for me to keep the exact positioning but overall I am quite pleased with this piece.
